Additional warnings/instructions when used with GÅRÖ hammock stand Assemble GÅRÖ hammock stand and attach FREDÖN hammock following the assembly instruction provided.
WARNING!
- The maximum weight load is 120 kg/265lb.
- Install the hammock so that its lowest point is not more than 60 cm above the ground.
- DO NOT install over concrete, asphalt, packed earth, or any other hard surface. A fall onto a hard surface can result in serious injury to the user.
- ALWAYS check the hammock, ropes and fastenings for wear before each use.
- Children should not use the hammock without adult supervision.
- Instruct children never to walk or play close to the hammock when it is swinging.
- DO NOT get in or out of the hammock when it is swinging.
- DO NOT use the hammock if any part is broken, torn or missing. DO NOT substitute parts. Contact you nearest IKEA store for replacement parts.
- Place the assembled stand with hammock on a flat, level surface a safe distance from other objects or obstacles.
- Check fastenings regularly for tightness and retighten as necessary.
- DO NOT swing excessively in the hammock as this may cause the hammock to become unstable.
- DO NOT use the stand if any part is broken or missing. DO NOT substitute parts. Contact you nearest IKEA store for replacement parts.
Care instructions
- Cleaning: Hand wash in warm water at 40°C (104°F). Avoid wetting the wooden spreader bars and metal hooks. Place the hammock and rope in a large bucket or tub filled with warm water. Add mild liquid detergent and use a soft brush to work on any stains. Rinse thoroughly. Air-dry on a flat surface.
- Maintenance: The wooden spreader bars are pre-treated with wood stain. To keep them looking fresh and new for longer re-stain the wood on a regular basis. Wood stain is sold separately.
- Storing: When not in regular use store the hammock in a cool, dry place indoors. At the end of the season wash and dry the hammock thoroughly before storing it.
